 BEAUTIFY YOUR ABODE

Imagine you are living in dull surroundings, withered walls and unfurnished messy rooms. Where things are at their sixes and sevenths- all topsy-turvy, you will automatically feel low and dispirited.

Hence, it is correctly said,” One’s surroundings have a great psychological bearing on one’s complete well-being”.

Well, that is one reason enough to decorate our homes. The art of designing the interior, often including the exterior of a room or building is known as Interior Designing. Now don’t confuse me with pursuing you to hire an expensive interior designer and spend grands on furnishing your house, rather use your own innovation and creativity, and decorate your own heaven. Find the ARTIST in you!

  •  Make a proper place of everything you have. This will avoid the mess and you can have everything  handy. And do avoid keeping of unnecessary and useless stuff, or it will create the mess.

Here are few simple tricks which can surely help you to bring life to the old and boring interior of your home-

  • Paint the smaller rooms in softer and lighter colours to help make the larger. The living room above is a great example of how to maximize a small living space. A room of this size has the tendency to seem cramped, but the large windows, light colored walls and ample use of mirrors not only reflect the natural light pouring in from the doors and the windows but the use of mirrors also gives the optical illusion of space, making the room seem larger than it actually is.

  •  Use rugs to soften the hard wooden floors. As rugs give warmth and can add great texture, color and      personality to your space.

  •  Go green. Add plants to your living space. Add them to every room, small or large, few or many. Plants  are an inexpensive means to accessorizing your space.

  •  Use wall-stickers over texture paints as they are less expensive than that and still help to add beauty to  the walls.

  •  Mix it up! Mix up patterns & textures, Mix up old and new, Expensive and inexpensive. There’s  nothing wrong with placing family heirlooms alongside your modern couch. All good interior  decorators will tell you that the most important aspect to decorating your home is that it  reflects who you are, your personality and your style.

I hope these easy and economical tips will help you to decorate your  place and make it interesting and that too, according to your own preferences.
