7 EASY WAYS TO OVERCOME THE MOOD SWINGS
To all those girls and women who face the wrath of the cycle and tampons every 5-6 days in a month.
Google describes it as an abrupt and unaccountable change of mood. Yes! Mood swings are somehow an extreme and rapid change of emotions, feelings and of course mood. It can either play a positive part in daily occurrences or may act as a havoc in functioning. A mood swing can occur to anyone but the chain of changes in emotions during the specific days of a month are quite viable and sometimes loamy. Have you ever wondered why your girlfriend suddenly becomes irritable and wants a breakup with you for no reason? Have you ever wondered why you want to cry all day and feel bad for no particular reason during your periods? There! You guessed it right! Mood swings! Well, here as it is an unchangeable course of every women’s life, let’s take a brief look over how can we atleast manage to overcome the deadly MOOD MANIACS!

1) STOP OVERTHINKING

The first and foremost thing to overcome mood swings is not thinking too much about anything. During your cycle, make sure you do not over think about unnecessary stuffs. Stuffs like, “Why did he breakup with me?” “That girl looks much prettier than me.” And “What would I do next in my life.” It will never bring a solution to your questions but will make you go all tensed and sad. Thinking repeatedly about something can make your brain go all a tizzy and obviously change your emotions. So, AVOID IT.
2) DO NOT SIT IDLE

Well, even your mother tells you to eat as many chocolates as you can on your period days. Chocolates release a sweet hormone that is also released when you’re in love. Ding ding! Well, eating hot chocolates, milk chocolates or any other kind will help you in the betterment of your mood.
5) GO OUT, HANG AROUND

Be it on your menstrual days or not, consuming excessive caffeine products like coffee and tea can result in increasing your anxiety and blood pressure. If you consume more than 2 or 3 cups of coffee, chances are your mood swings can vary. If you feel stressed or moody eventually after intaking coffee or tea then reduce it as soon as possible. You can switch to fruit juices if you want so.
4) EAT CHOCOLATES
Sitting idle, and doing nothing can make your mind a wanderer. Your feelings may go despair and can change anytime. It’s preferable to read a book, listen to some music or anything you like? Do something you like or have longed to do. You can also write if you like (I always do this), make a sketch or watch your favorite show. Make sure you are occupied with something even when you’re resting at home with all those cramps.
3) AVOID CAFFEINE

If you feel a little better, you can wear your favourite outfit, dress up and go around hanging with your friends. Being around family and friends is a perfect bliss! You can also go on a date with your boyfriend or simply travel alone.
6)SHUN THE GREY MATTER OUT FROM YOUR LIFE

Thinking only in terms of extreme, or "black and white" outcomes (e.g., perfect vs. disastrous or beautiful vs. ugly, etc.) has been shown to be associated with both mood swings and sudden alterations in affect. Go out, throw away all your worries and think what can happen next. Avoid those people who act like discourages during these days.
7)BE OPTIMISTIC, SHUT OUT PESSIMISM

There you beautiful girls, you need not be taking too much stress over anything. Stop being judgmental over yourself. Think positive and instead of assuming the worst that can happen, think about all of the other scenarios that are possible. Instead of assuming one incident (such as a disagreement with an office mate or date) is reflective of your entire relationship with this person, consider it as a one-off and something that doesn't happen very often. Remind yourself of all of the success you have had in this realm, whether it's your work life or your romantic life, and you'll be able to calm down a bit and realize that there's no need to get all worked up about it.
At the end these difficult four or five days may end, bringing about oodles of cheers on our faces. But then, we are girls and mood swings is our routine, isn’t it?
