
PROS & CONS OF SUPPLEMENTS


Now this sounds familiar, right?
Yes! Yes! Yes!
The person who wants a healthy body takes up supplements. There are different type of
supplements like nutritional supplement, dietary supplement, bodybuilding supplements etc.
So here we are talking about bodybuilding supplements.
As the name suggests these are consumed by bodybuilders to make a good body. But there is a
slight confusion or misunderstanding regarding this topic among few.
So I’ll tell you the pros and the cons of taking bodybuilding supplements.
PROS-
1) Being “Natural” is the best!
Supplements are basically natural like creatine, amino acids etc.
If we take them in right quantity it will never affect your body and will give you additional strength.
2) Results (100% that is Excellent)!
It gives you the needed boost. If your weight training is not giving you proper results.
3) Energyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Protein is important as it helps in the formation of building blocks for the muscles. The sugar
content needs to be checked before buying a product wherein help of a trained professional
matters a lot. There are many products available in the market but you cannot pick anything
by looking at the advertisement.
Cons-
1) Strict Regime to follow!
You cannot think of taking these supplements unless you are having a rigorous schedule as the
energy you get from all this needs to be consumed. The dosage of creatine supplement usually
starts with 20 grams in the first week and then reduced to 3 grams for coming 28 days.
At times maintenance doses are also recommended, however, if you do not follow the right
instruction you do not get the benefits and it would be a complete waste.
2) Side Effects!
Bodybuilding supplements does have side effects and it is vital to listen to your trainer,
understand the benefits and usage of the product you use for increasing the body mass.
Few effects of creatine include heart problems, kidney problems, dehydration, diarrhea and muscle
cramping. Medical history should be discussed especially if you ever had a heart or kidney problem.
